Analysis and Optimization of Robin - Robin Partitioned
In the solution of Fluid-Structure Interaction problems, partitioned procedures are modular algorithms that involve separate fluid and structure solvers, that interact, in an iterative framework, through the exchange of suitable transmission conditions at the FS interface. In this work we study, using Fourier analysis, the convergence of partitioned algorithms based on Robin transmission condit...

This article focuses on struggles to secure and defend the land rights of the poor in Africa. A very brief introduction sketches the impact of liberalisation on land in Africa, then looks at the deeper context of land reform, and at the current role of donors. The article goes on to look at detailed case studies of Uganda, Mozambique and South Africa and examines reasons for successes and failu...
متن کاملRobin-Robin Domain Decomposition Methods for the Stokes-Darcy Coupling
In this paper we consider a coupled system made of the Stokes and Darcy equations, and we propose some iteration-by-subdomain methods based on Robin conditions on the interface. We prove the convergence of these algorithms, and for suitable finite element approximations we show that the rate of convergence is independent of the mesh size h. A special attention is paid to the optimization of the...
متن کاملThe Robin anomalad (Pierre Robin syndrome)--a follow up study.
During a 10-year period 55 patients with the Robin anomalad were admitted to the Liverpool Regional Cleft Palate Units. Fourteen (25%) children died. All deaths were within 3 months of birth. Congenital abnormalities other than mandibular retrognathia and cleft palate were present in 14 (26%) children. Peripheral limb defects were particularly common. Thirty children were recalled and reviewed ...
